I go hiking with my dogs, I have had a good time experimenting with belts, harnesses, long lines, and bungee leashes. Though some of them did not work as I expected, I got to know a lot.

I tested some bungee leashes and that is how I got to know the good ones. Those days, I make sure I carry my normal lead in case the bungee leash I am using that day develops issues.

In this post, we will be looking at what I consider the best bungee leash.

Non-stop Dogwear touring adjustable bungee leash

This is an adjustable bungee leash, I like it because I get to use it hands-free when hiking with my dog and I can use it as a normal leash when coming back from the hike.

It has an adjustable buckle that you can use to adjust the length and loop to fit your needs, it has a handle close to the dog and it is what I use as a normal leash when coming back from hikes, and the bungee is not too tough or too soft for my dog.

The buckle it uses is made from strong aluminium and the leash has some reflective materials on it. this bungee leash is sold on the Non-stop Dogwear.

Ruffwear roamer bungee leash

This was recommended to me by a good number of people on Reddit.

On the Ruffwear site, you can select lengths from 5.5 feet to 11 feet. The leash is adjustable and can be worn on the waist or hand-held.

This leash has a very strong aluminum talon clip that you can attach to your dog’s harness or collar. It has a padded handle and it is durable.

I just wish the waistband was not part of the leash because when I ordered an 11-foot one, I wanted the leash to be 11 feet but I could still use it.

Kong reflective bungee hands-free leash

I ordered this from Amazon during one of my travels. I could use it as a hands-free leash or a normal leash.

The bungee leash is 72 inches long and 1 inch wide, I got to choose from only 3 colors.

I enjoyed using it, it is made with nylon, it is sturdy, the bungee was not too tough and I was okay with that, the hardware did not feel like something that was going to break anytime soon.

Paw lifestyle hands-free leash

I also got this from Amazon, it is a 48″ nylon bungee leash that expands to 70″ and it comes with an adjustable waist belt that comes with an expandable pouch where you can put your phone, treats, and other stuff.

This leash has two handles, one at the end of the leash and one near the beginning of the leash, and the leash has reflective stitching.

One thing I noticed about this bungee is that it is pretty tough and my small dogs don’t really enjoy it when I use it because is not relaxed enough for them to use.
