Best bath brush for dogs (the ones for long & medium fur and the ones for short hair)

Whenever I bathe my dogs, I like being able to go deep into the fur and clean their skin but I felt my hands were not doing enough, so I decided to buy a bath brush for dogs but I was not lucky with some that I bought.

However, I kept trying and I found some that work well and I have been using them ever since.

Sometimes I misplace my dog’s bath brush and when I want to buy the previous one it would not be available, this would make me have to test other bath brushes till I find another good one and that is how I got to know the good ones.

I want to help you reduce the chances of buying a bad bath brush for your dog, so I would be recommending the ones I have used for my dogs with short hair and the ones I have used for my dogs with long/medium fur.

Pride+ Groom bath brush

pride + groom bath brush for dogs

I really love the design of this bath brush and it is more durable because of the materials that there used like the wood base. The handle was a little big for my hand but I held the wood base while using it to bath my dog and it was comfortable.

This bath brush really helped in cleaning the skin of two of my dogs and removing loose fur despite their long fur and it did the digging I was not able to do with my fingers. The silicone bristles are not too hard and not too soft at the same time.

Jenseits bath brush

I got this bath brush from Amazon because of the good reviews I saw and I was not disappointed.  It has a simple design, the top is plastic while the bristles are made from silicone.

The silicone bristles are gentle but they are strong enough to remove dirt and loose hair from the skin of two of my dogs and it was good for their long fur.

The brush does not have a handle like the previous one we looked at but the sides have a rough pattern that makes it easier to grip and prevents it from slipping through your hand.

I don’t think the brand is well known because I searched and could only find them on Amazon.

Bonza silicone pet brush

This is another bath brush for dogs that I found on Amazon which was not a waste of money. The brush is made of silicone, and the silicone bristles are firm and get the job done; they go through my dogs’ long fur, clean their skin, and remove loose hair.

The brush has a removable silicone screen at the base of the bristles, I remove it when I am done using the brush, it makes the removal of hair and brush after use easy.

The brush does not have a handle but the sides and the top have a rough pattern that makes it easier to grip and prevents it from slipping through your hand. The shape of the tips of the bristles makes it have a massaging effect on your dog.

Furbulous bath brush

This brush is made from rubber and just like the other bath brushes for dogs we have talked about, the bristles are firm enough to remove dirt and loose fur and it is best for long fur.

The brush does not have a handle but the sides and the top have a rough pattern that makes it easier to grip and prevents it from slipping through your hand.

Unlike the previous bath brush for dogs we just looked at, the company that produces this has an online store where you can purchase it, aside from Amazon.

Best bath brush for dogs with short hair

Bodhi Doc bath brush

This bath brush is made from rubberized plastic and it has shorter bristles which is better for dogs with short hair. I enjoyed using this on my Rottweiler, the bristles were firm enough to remove dirt and loose fur.

The shape of the tip of the bristle helps massage your dog’s skin. The handle at the back of the was meant for you to slip your palm through it but I prefer holding the handle and using it, if your palm is too small or big for it then you should try it my way.

They also have a refund policy on their site.

Lilpep bath brush

This brush is made from rubber, it is very flexible and can be bent in any way you like, the handle at the back is also adjustable, so you don’t have to worry about your palm being too small or too big.

The bristles are also firm and remove dirt and loose fur, I enjoy using this brush too.
